ChatBatt ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. This Policy applies to our website, our software platform, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:

- WhatsApp Business data: WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID, message templates, contact lists, and conversation metadata processed through the official WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Customer messages: message content (text, media, interactive payloads), timestamps, sender phone numbers, and message status, processed solely to deliver the Service you have configured.
- Usage data: log files, IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and feature interactions used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Support data: any information you voluntarily share with us when contacting support.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Service.
- Route and deliver WhatsApp messages, bookings, and orders on your behalf.
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Improve product features, performance, and reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform Terms.
3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process personal data under one or more of these bases: performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating a secure and effective service, your consent (which you may withdraw at any time), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with:
- Meta Platforms, Inc., as required by the WhatsApp Business Platform to deliver messages.
- Subprocessors we engage for hosting, analytics, payments, and customer support, each bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Legal authorities when required by valid legal process or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same privacy commitments.
5. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Conversation data is retained per your account configuration; you can request earlier deletion by contacting us.
6. Security
We protect personal data using industry-standard safeguards including TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work continuously to maintain a high security standard.
7. International transfers
ChatBatt operates globally. Where we transfer personal data outside your country of residence, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or your explicit consent.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@chatbatt.com.
9. WhatsApp end-user privacy
When you use ChatBatt to message your customers on WhatsApp, you are the data controller of those customer messages and you remain responsible for obtaining any required consents and providing your own privacy notice to your end customers. ChatBatt processes the messages as your data processor under the WhatsApp Business Platform.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
